I would love to see someone define what an “assault weapon” is. To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing. An “assault rifle” is a military weapon capable of full-automatic fire. These are very strictly regulated in civilian hands – in many states their possession is illegal. So what’s with all the hot air over banning “assault_____” (you fill in the blank). I think it’s simply an effort to further the total gun-ban agenda. Today’s semi-auto pistol kept for self-defense is tomorrow’s “assault weapon.”

Ken, I believe this was recorded during the Clinton assault weapon ban. I believe it had a clear definition, then. I agree that there is no such legal definition, today.

I think that the entire news media and even yourself Leslie are completely missing the true intentions for the second amendment. I assure you it was not meant for duck hunting. I think that it was meant when we have lost due process in the courts and our politicians have been corrupted. I think that during the war of 1776 the king of England would have liked that the colonialist had only sling shots against the kings muskets.

A gun is no more of an assult weapon then a piece of pipe or baseball bat.
Tobacco kills more Americans then guns and there is no ban on tobacco. Same with automobiles.
