County Prosecutor Steve Ipsen tells Full Disclosure Network why it was necessary to form a Union of Deputy District Attorneys to fight against corrupt practices adverse to public safety practiced by District Attorney Cooley personally. He says that prosecutors should be free to blow the whistle on retaliation by management.
Ipsen was the founding and long-time President of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys (ADDA). Ipsen faces a daunting task in Federal Court, (fighting against corruption and for First Amendment Rights to speak out against the retaliation of his boss Steve Cooley who ran unsuccessfully for Attorney General of California and who was unable to win over the voters in his own county of Los Angeles.
